If you bought a sideboard 5 years ago and youre moving, and it wont fit in your new home, then you could sell it.
Will you get exactly what you originally paid for it? Unlikely. You may do if you have an item thats on-trend, in excellent condition, or antique. Otherwise, you likely wont.

Ive heard of other people doubling up on the shelves to mitigate warping, but I havent tried that myself.
In truth that seems like a waste. If you want stronger shelves, youre better off spending the extra money to invest in a solid wood or metal piece of Ikea furniture.
