Often, a so-called 4″ x 4″ post is actually 3.625″ x 3.625″ when measured. This is why we strongly encourage you to measure your posts before you order. There’s nothing worse than having your post caps arrive only to realize they are too big or too small! Once you’ve found the actual size of your posts, the fun part begins.
