6 to 8 months :
- Pureed fruit, vegetables
- Iron-containing foodmashed lentils, a spoon of adult organic prune juice, finely pureed meat. Cooking food in a cast iron skillet boosts the iron level in food. 9 to 12 months
- Small, soft finger foods that are chopped, mashed, or ground. Finger foods can include bananas, ripe pear, steamed apple, sweet potato, avocado, egg, yogurt, and soft or mashed vegetables.
- When you give meat, make sure it is minced finelymeat is a common cause of choking.
- Usually, cows milk is introduced around 12 months. Its best to use full fat, organic, grass-fed milk.
How To Introduce Allergens
Technically, any food can cause an allergy. The ones that most commonly cause allergic reactions are cows milk, egg, wheat, soy, peanuts, tree nuts, fish, sesame and seafood. You should still give these foods to your baby within the first year just start with small amounts of each. Introduce each food individually, several days apart, and on days when your baby is only eating foods they have already tried before. That way, if your baby has a reaction, youll know its from the new food and not anything else.
If your family has a history of allergies or if your baby reacts with any signs of an allergy, such as itchiness, color change or hives, talk to your pediatrician or an allergist before introducing another new food.

This schedule assumes that your 4- to 6-month-old is taking three naps and you’re introducing solid foods by spoon-feeding purées.

What Foods Do You Introduce To A Baby First
The American Academy of Pediatrics has a wide variety of recommended menu choices when introducing solid foods to your baby.

But remember to offer these foods one at a time and watch for any signs of an allergy.

Why Does My Baby Spit Out Same

How To Start Introducing Solids
Solid foods can be introduced in any order as long as they are iron-rich and the food is the right texture. Look for signs that your baby’s ready for solids.
There is no clear recommendation about the best time of day to offer first solids. But it can be helpful to give your baby solids after a milk feed, mid-morning, so if they’re unsettled, it’s less likely to impact their night-time sleep.
If you find your baby loves solid foods so much that they’re cutting back on their breastfeeds or bottle feeds, reduce the amount of solids you’re offering. Milk is still an important source of nutrition for the first 9 to 12 months of life.
